Totemo was engaged to develop a national campaign designed to inspire Australians to rediscover and holiday at home, championing the breadth of hotel experiences and destinations available across the country.

Grounded in audience insight and tourism behavioural trends, we defined a strategic platform that reframed domestic travel as both aspirational and accessible. The campaign concept centred on discovery and reward, positioning local travel as an experience equal to any international escape. A competition mechanic underpinned the rollout to drive participation, amplify reach and generate measurable engagement across channels.

We developed the end-to-end campaign architecture, including messaging hierarchy, visual identity system and multi-channel rollout strategy. A flexible yet cohesive design language ensured consistency across digital, social, EDM, paid media and in-hotel collateral, while allowing featured destinations and properties to maintain their individual character within a unified framework.

The result was a high-impact, nationally scalable campaign that balanced emotive storytelling with performance-driven marketing objectives. By aligning strategic clarity with distinctive creative execution, the campaign elevated domestic tourism and positioned participating hotels as compelling destinations in their own right.
